Since the start of the flood season in 2025, Shaanxi Province’s agricultural production has faced extreme weather challenges characterized by “drought at the beginning followed by heavy rainfall.” Drought during the spring planting period has led to insufficient soil moisture, while continuous rainfall during the flood season has triggered localized flooding, posing a serious threat to grain production.
Since the onset of the flood season in 2025, Shaanxi Province's agricultural production has faced extreme weather challenges characterized by "drought followed by heavy rainfall." Drought during the spring sowing period led to insufficient soil moisture, while continuous rainfall during the flood season triggered localized flooding, posing a severe threat to grain production. At this critical juncture, Mu Zhengxiang, Director of the Shaanxi Provincial Agricultural Mechanization Development Center, Wang Cheng, Head of the Department, and heads of relevant divisions recently visited YAAO Agricultural Machinery to conduct a special research and guidance visit, providing targeted guidance on the R&D and production of disaster-resistant agricultural machinery and equipment, thereby injecting authoritative support into the province's "resist heavy rain and safeguard grain" initiative.
The research and guidance team, led by senior officials from the Shaanxi Provincial Agricultural Mechanization Development Center, comprises both the center’s decision-making level and its core business personnel. Director Mu Zhengxiang, as the principal person in charge of agricultural mechanization work across the province, has been overseeing the entire research process and setting its strategic direction. Director Wang Cheng and heads of relevant departments are focusing on specialized areas such as agricultural machinery R&D, certification, and promotion, thereby establishing a three-in-one guidance system encompassing “decision-making, implementation, and technology.” This reflects the high priority that the provincial authorities attach to ensuring the supply of agricultural machinery and equipment for “resisting rainfall and safeguarding grain production.”
The research team first went deep into the YAAO Agricultural Machinery equipment exhibition area, focusing on key disaster-resistant models such as the anti-sticking and anti-blocking rotary seeding and fertilizing machine. At the equipment exhibition area, Director Mu Zhengxiang bent down to examine the device’s details and listened to technical staff’s reports on core technologies like the “anti-sticking and anti-blocking seed-metering mechanism” and the “flood-resistant power transmission system.” He also engaged in in-depth discussions with the company’s R&D personnel from time to time on critical indicators such as “soil moisture adaptability” and “reliability of continuous operation.”
Subsequently, the two sides held a seminar focusing on three key topics: certification standards for disaster-resistant agricultural machinery, optimization of market adaptability, and upgrading of performance characteristics. Director Mu Zhengxiang, drawing on provincial agricultural machinery promotion data, pointed out: “Currently, the Guanzhong irrigation area and the Shaanbei hilly region have an urgent need for flood-resistant seeders. YAAO needs to further enhance the machinery’s mobility in heavy, clayey soil conditions.” The company’s technical team responded on-site with specific proposals for technical improvements. The entire research process demonstrated a pragmatic approach characterized by “problem-oriented thinking and precise alignment.”
Director Mu Zhengxiang highly praised YAAO Agricultural Machinery's recent R&D achievements in the field of disaster-resistant agricultural machinery. Regarding the next steps, he expressed earnest hopes: “I hope that YAAO Agricultural Machinery will take this survey as an opportunity to strive to be the ‘vanguard’ in the province’s R&D of disaster-resistant agricultural machinery, providing solid equipment support for building an agricultural disaster prevention and mitigation system characterized by ‘early warning, early preparation, and early response.’”
YAAO Agricultural Machinery also pledged to put the instructions into practice with concrete actions and support disaster relief efforts with advanced equipment. General Manager Shi Bingzhi added: “We will treat the reliability of our machinery, quality assurance, and advanced technology as our lifeline, ensuring that every piece of machinery leaving our factory can perform effectively and win in the frontline of disaster relief, giving farmers peace of mind and confidence in its use.”
This provincial-level leadership’s research and guidance not only injects policy and technological momentum into YAAO Agricultural Machinery’s development of disaster-resistant equipment, but also marks the entry of Shaanxi Province’s agricultural mechanization disaster-resistance capacity-building into a new stage characterized by "government-enterprise collaboration and targeted efforts." Taking this guidance as an opportunity, YAAO Agricultural Machinery will continue to strengthen its capabilities across the entire R&D-production-promotion chain, contributing its "agricultural machinery strength" to solidifying the disaster-prevention and mitigation barrier for the "Sanqin Granary" and ensuring national food security.
