Function: Depending on different soil types, agricultural practices, operational requirements, and tractor power levels, the three blade shaft speeds can be flexibly adjusted at the field edge, completely resolving the long-standing issue of poor quality when tractors run too fast and reduced efficiency when they run too slowly. In other words, on the same plot of land, with the same tractor and identical tillage quality, the Variable Speed Rotary Tiller delivers significantly improved efficiency.
Principle: Since the Rotary Tiller is a driven machine—meaning that the rotary tiller blades rely on the power of the tractor's engine, transmitted through various stages of the transmission system, to perform soil milling—the quality and efficiency of the operation are directly related to the tractor's forward speed and engine RPM. Under conditions where the Rotary Tiller's rotational speed is fixed and the engine speed remains constant, if the tractor runs faster, the efficiency increases but the cultivation quality suffers; conversely, if the tractor runs slower, the cultivation quality improves but the efficiency declines.
It is worth noting that tillage is influenced by factors such as soil type (clay, sandy soil), moisture content (soft soil, hard soil), the amount of surface straw, and different rotary tiller operating standards. However, designers of conventional Rotary Tiller can only select the most common tillage conditions and opt for a single blade shaft rotation speed that suits only one type of farmland—thus balancing both tillage quality and economic efficiency. As for other diverse soil conditions, they are left with no choice but to accept either compromised tillage quality at the expense of lower economic returns or poorer tillage quality in pursuit of higher economic benefits. Moreover, in recent years, the market has seen instances where large tractors are used on small plots, resulting in excessive power consumption without corresponding efficiency gains due to limitations imposed by plot size, farming practices, row spacing, and ridge spacing. Taken together, to eliminate the longstanding issue of current Rotary Tillers—running too fast with poor quality or too slow with low efficiency—and to maximize overall effectiveness, variable-speed rotary tillage is absolutely essential!
Methods for changing gears:
The same plot of land, the same tractor, and the same tillage and seeding quality (such as tillage depth and soil crumbling)—how can we optimize their use to achieve different levels of efficiency?
(1) For soil types: A. Clay soils—hard and dry soils: select low speed (energy-saving); soft soils: select high speed, with the main unit set one gear higher (high efficiency). B. Sandy soils: select low speed, with the main unit set one gear higher (energy-saving and highly efficient). C. When sowing in fields with tall stubble and thick stalks, select high speed (fewer straw and weeds on the seedbed, preventing blockages).
(2) Classification by host horsepower: A—High horsepower (using a big horse to pull a small cart): Suitable for clay soils; select high speed, and set the host machine one gear higher (high efficiency); B—Suitable for sandy soils; select low speed, and set the host machine one gear higher (high efficiency).
In summary: A Variable Speed Rotary Tiller, when used on the same plot of land with the same working quality and the same tractor, saves 10-20% of labor compared to a non-variable-speed Rotary Tiller. 3. Dual-Axle Stubble-Removing Rotary Tiller - Patent Product
This is a new patented product developed by our company—a mid-drive, mid-plow offset tillage machine—specifically designed to meet the practical agronomic needs of northern regions. It is suitable for use with high-horsepower machinery across various soil types nationwide, including dry and hard soils, semi-paddy fields, semi-sandy soils, sandy soils, stubble fields, and wet, clayey soils.
This machine is designed specifically to meet the requirements of fine stubble removal, deep rotary tillage, low power consumption, and high efficiency. It features a mid-transmission system that leaves no stubble behind (suitable for row spacings nationwide ranging from 35 to 80 cm).
