Corn No-tillage Precision Seeding Machine (Hard Stubble)
1. Equipment connection and adjustment:
(1) Shorten the adjusting screws of the left and right lift rods of the tractor to their shortest positions, ensure they are adjusted to the same horizontal level, and install the lift rod limit blocks in the limit-position state.
(2) The implement is connected to the tractor via a three-point hitch. Reverse the tractor and align it with the middle of the implement’s hitch frame, then connect the hitch pin holes on the hitch plate to the corresponding left and right hitch plate holes on the implement using hitch pins.
(3) The middle pull rod of the host is connected to the central circular hole in the tool suspension bracket using a middle pin.
(4) Adjust the front-to-back level of the equipment by lengthening or shortening the threaded rod of the tractor’s middle linkage.
(5) Adjust the left and right limit rods of the tractor by lengthening or shortening their threaded rods to align the implement, and fine-tune the left-right swing (left-right swing range: 3–5 cm).
2. Use of machinery in the field:
(1) Before entering the field, adjust the desired row spacing by operating the handle on the row-spacing parameter indicator of the row-spacing gearbox. During use of the finger-clamp seed meter, to prevent seed coat and seed treatment agents from sticking to the nail plate core and causing inaccurate seeding or damage to the finger clamp, it is essential to add seed lubricant as required to provide lubrication (add 2 grams per kilogram and mix thoroughly).
(2) Rotate the fertilizer quantity adjustment handle on the fertilizer box to set the desired fertilizer amount. Then, rotate the drive wheel and check whether the seed and fertilizer application is functioning properly.
(3) Before use, lubricate all grease fittings with butter and check whether bolts and nuts on various components are loose—especially those securing the fasteners (left and right side plates, main beam mounting, fertilizer box, and seed shaft positioning sleeves). If any are loose, tighten them again or reassemble them properly.
(4) When planting by dropping the equipment into the ground, avoid applying excessive hydraulic pressure at once. Instead, gradually introduce the hydraulic system into the soil as the main machine moves forward (otherwise, the seed and fertilizer tubes may become clogged).
(5) Perform a trial broadcast on-site, adjusting the seeding depth according to local agronomic requirements. Advance 10–20 meters, then stop and inspect the seed depth (3–5 cm), plant spacing, fertilizer placement depth (about 8 cm), and the distance between seeds and fertilizer (5–10 cm). Confirm the tillage and seeding depths, and lock the hydraulic limiters. Note: The adjustment of tillage depth is achieved by extending or shortening the lead screws on the left and right lifting rods—from shallow to deep—and simultaneously adjusting the central lead screw to ensure that the machine remains level front to back. The seeding depth is precisely set using the depth-limiting wheels.
3. Equipment maintenance:
(1) When sowing, add an appropriate amount of seed lubricant. Each evening, remove any leftover seeds from the seeding tray. After the sowing season, clean both the nail-type seeding disc and the calibration disc.
(2) Maintenance No. 1, Maintenance No. 2, and Maintenance No. 3—same maintenance procedures for the rotary seeding and fertilizing machine.
