2BMYF-2 No-Till Fertilizer and Seed Drill

1. Mounting and Adjustment:

(1) The host traction frame is connected, and the traction clamp is properly positioned and installed in the two middle holes of the traction beam’s connection holes. The traction clamp can be adjusted up and down within the connection holes of the equipment’s traction beam to ensure that the equipment remains horizontally aligned front to back.
(2) The traction beam is adjustable in length—when fitted with larger tires, the traction beam extends and lengthens. Under normal standard fitting conditions, the traction beam retracts to its factory-set position.
(3) Before use, check that all bolts are securely tightened and ensure that all grease fittings—totaling 22 grease fittings—are adequately lubricated.

(4) Connect the hydraulic hoses of the equipment to the quick-connect fittings on the main unit (note that for horizontal distribution pumps, connect on the left and right sides; for vertical distribution pumps, connect at the top and bottom). Ensure correct installation of the output oil hose and return oil hose.

(5) Remove the cylinder support sleeves and install them in the fixed positions on the left and right side plates. Position the hydraulic cylinder of the leveling equipment, and adjust the traction beam (upper surface) so that its height from the ground is 54 centimeters.

(6) Before entering the field, adjust the sowing depth to 3-5 cm by moving the sprocket according to the row-spacing parameter indicator on the row-spacing gearbox and adjusting the depth-adjusting tooth plate on the seeding unit assembly.

(7) During use, the finger-clamp seed metering device may cause seed coat and pesticide residue to stick to the nail plate core, leading to inaccurate seeding and damage to the finger clamp. Therefore, it is essential to add a seed lubricant as required (2 grams per kilogram of seeds, mixed thoroughly) to ensure proper lubrication.
(8) Rotate the fertilizer amount adjustment handle to set the desired fertilizer application rate, then rotate the driven wheel to check whether the seed and fertilizer application is functioning properly.

2. Ground use:

(1) The tractor enters the field and tills a strip 5–10 meters long. Stop and check the seeding depth, which should be 3–5 centimeters. Verify the plant spacing according to local agronomic requirements. The fertilizer depth should be around 8 centimeters, with a seed-fertilizer spacing of 5–10 centimeters.

(2) Adjust the height of the grass-pulling wheel relative to the ground according to the terrain conditions—just enough for the wheel teeth to touch the ground.

(3) Based on the fertilizer pan’s usage condition, adjust the fertilizer pan angle by 3–6° using adjustment shims.

(4) The bidirectional adjustment handle of the soil-covering and compaction roller allows you to adjust the angle and required pressure of the compaction roller according to different agronomic practices and requirements. The compaction torque of the soil-covering roller should be adjusted so that after seeding, obvious compaction marks are left. When you press down with all four fingers together, you should feel a firm, solid resistance (the ground should sink by about 0.5 cm) to meet the standard.

(5) For wet, sticky soils, raised beds, and newly prepared ridges, it is necessary to place shims under the machine’s hydraulic cylinders. Use shim sets 1 and 2 to adjust the machine to the required height and level, and to regulate the spring tension on both sides of the driven wheel, ensuring proper engagement and drive between the driven wheel and the main wheel. Then, adjust the seeding depth accordingly.

(6) If single-row seeding occurs during mechanical seeding, remove the single-row seeding disc separator and rework the soil without reseeding in the single row.
(7) To align with national policies and promote conservation tillage, we have specifically integrated YAAO’s patented invention into the no-till seeder, ensuring smooth seeding even on fields covered with straw. When installing the stubble-clearing machine, extend and lengthen the drawbar, adjust the position of the hitch bracket to maintain an effective distance (3–12 cm) between the drawbar and the transmission shaft. Add 2 liters of gear lubricant to the gearbox, loosen the four positioning bolts on the stubble-clearing machine, operate the hydraulic cylinder handle to adjust the machine’s height so that the cutting blades penetrate the soil to a depth of 2–4 cm—just enough to thoroughly chop up corn stover roots. Finally, tighten the four positioning bolts on the stubble-clearing machine.

3. Equipment maintenance:

(1) Before use: Verify that the finger-type seed-metering device achieves seeding accuracy.
(2) Precautions for Use: Every evening, remove any leftover seeds from the seeding plate to prevent seed coats, lubricants, and moisture accumulated overnight from causing the seeds to stick together and compromising seeding quality or damaging the seeding mechanism. After the seeding season ends, promptly clean the finger-type seeding plate and verify that it meets the required standards.
(3) After use: Maintenance No. 1, Maintenance No. 2, Maintenance No. 3—same as for the rotary seeding and fertilizing machine.
