Frequently Asked Questions
Precision Rotary Seeder for Corn with Fertilizer Application
1. Installation of equipment:
(1) The installation of rotary tiller blades, frame assembly, front depth-limiting wheel, rear compaction roller, and chain is the same as that for the rotary seeding and fertilizing machine. (The variable-speed section is the same as that for the Variable Speed Rotary Tiller.)
(2) Installation method for the corn ridge-forming plow: The corn ridge-forming plow should be installed 23 centimeters from the right edge of the frame, positioned at the front of the rear beam of the machinery. It is connected using a V-shaped clamp for corn. According to agronomic requirements, adjust the desired row spacing and secure it with four 12×55 bolts.
(3) The main beam assembly is installed behind the rear beam of the equipment. The center of the right single-frame assembly is 9 cm away from the edge of the main beam, and the edge of the main beam is 8 cm away from the frame’s edge. The right single-frame assembly is 17 cm away from the frame’s edge. Use connecting plates to secure the assembly with M16×35 bolts, tightening them from right to left. Adjust the row spacing as required by agricultural practices.
(4) Adjust the spacing between seed and fertilizer to 5–8 cm. Align the compaction single-row wheel so that it is directly centered over the fertilizer tube, with no visible deviation.
(5) The corn seed hopper is installed on the single unit of the nail-type seed-metering device and secured with M6×25 bolts.
2. Implement attachment and adjustment: (Same as rotary seeding and fertilizing machine)
3. No-till corn planting
Equipment installation:
(1) Four sets of cutter discs (working width: 20 cm). The outermost left and right cutter discs are equipped with curved blades, with the blade curves facing inward. Additionally, grass-clearing blades are installed; when mounting these grass-clearing blades, ensure they are positioned close enough to the corn ridge-forming plow without causing any collision. The two middle cutter discs are installed in the standard configuration, with one left-handed and one right-handed curved blade mounted on each set of cutter discs.
(2) The corn no-till seeding and compaction roller—single-row wheel rim (with rotary tiller blades)—should be installed with the fertilizer tube aligned in a straight line through three points. Note: If the single-row wheel rim compacts raw soil, it may result in insufficient compaction of the seedbed, leading to moisture loss and sparse seedlings.
(3) Center distance between the seed tube and the furrow opener: 5–8 cm. Note: If the fertilizer port is too close to the seed tube, it may easily cause fertilizer burn, damaging the seedlings and resulting in missing plants.
(4) The installation of the remaining components is the same as for the precision corn seeding system described above.
4. On-site use: (same as rotary seeding and fertilizing machine)
(1) During use, the finger-clamp seed metering device may cause seed coat and pesticide residues to stick to the nail plate core, leading to inaccurate seeding and damage to the finger clamp. Therefore, it is essential to add seed lubricant as required to ensure proper lubrication. (Add 2 grams of seed lubricant per kilogram of seeds.)
5. Maintenance of equipment:
(1) An appropriate amount of seed lubricant must be added during seeding. Each evening, remove any leftover seeds from the seeding tray. After the seeding season, clean and calibrate the nail-type seed-metering disc.
(2) After use: Maintenance No. 1, Maintenance No. 2, and Maintenance No. 3 are the same as those for the rotary seeding and fertilizing machine.
